| This is not a hotel that I would recommend to anyone else than someone that expects a bassic bed to sleep in and a room that s ok. The staff at this hotel are sometimes very nice and helpful, but sometimes also make you wonder if you re a guest or just an annoyance.
I would only recommend people to stay here if they are in transit through the harbour to the islands outside Phuket. |

| The room was dirty. The water was yellow. The bathroom was moldy. The help was clueless and the internet did not work.
The only good thing was that we only were staying 1 night on our way to Phi Phi island. Unfortunately, we arrived late and it would have been too late to find another hotel, because we would have switched. |

| Bra hotell med bra service. Mysig pol på fjärde våningen. det var bara en ung och grön nattportier som inte pratade så bra engelska som man kunde förvänta sig på ett så stort hotell med gäster från hela världen. Helt ok för övernattning på vägen |

| Good location, friendly staff and the rooms were ok. Perfect hotel for a short stop.We stayed only one night on our way to Koh Lanta and the excellent White Rock Resort at Klong Nin Beach. |

| The staff of the hotel is very helpfull and friendly. The hotelrooms need a better cleaning program, the rooms are not clean and very dusty.
Overall I think the rooms need a renovation. |

| We stayed for one night on 28th Dec 2007 because the resort we d booked was full for our first night in Phuket. We had interconnecting rooms on the 10th floor. I had previously read lots of reviews saying the hotel was dirty and not very good but we thought it was fine. The rooms were a good size, the bathrooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. The rooms are perhaps looking a bit tired but for the price we paid it was really nothing to complain about. Breakfast was the usual buffet fare with a mixture of local and Western food - very average. It is not a bad place to stay for just one or two nights, but no longer. I can t think that anyone would actually stay here for their Phuket holiday, I imagine it is used by most for a one or two night stopover inbetween islands, beach resorts or perhaps on business. I wouldn t mind staying again if a similar situation arose. |

| The Metropole was in a good location for shopping. Rooms are a little dingy but clean, and the service was great. Windows could use a wash inside and out and bay side room windows were too high to see from when sitting. Our fist room on this side of the building we did not get much sleep due to the nightclub across the street with a BOOMING bass. The last day we asked to be moved across the hall and it was much better. Windows were lower too. The medium sized pool is outside on the 4th floor with towels and a change room. No chairs the first day but they showed up thereafter. Breakfast was an interesting mix of Thai and western foods with plenty of choices. We did not eat in the hotel restaurant otherwise. The Metropole is a good value for the money.
Liam Seafood restaurant across from Ocean Shopping Mall provided our worst meal in Thailand. A nice fabric store is near the hotel on Phuket Rd. Lots of small shops and restaurants in the immediate area with good barganing fun. Central Festival Phuket was very overpriced. The free hotel shuttle took 40 minutes and stopped at many hotels. We paid 150b for a one-way taxi home.

| We found the hotel clean,tidy & comfortable.The staff were cooperative, the food was excellent. But the new block under construction has diminished some of our great feelings, otherwise, it is very appropriate for comfortable staying with family in Phuket. The location in Patong Beach is quite great.

| Lovely hotel. Friendly staff. Clean and big room and very comfortable. In the middle of Phuket town and a very convenient place to stay - we stayed here from the airport before going on to Ko PhiPhi. |

| Second stay there in a month which says something. Aksed for a room at the fornt but this was too noisy because of the air con outside so we changed to a room at the back which we knew would be noisy until midnght due to the music venue close by. The breakfast buffet is large. The Run of the House bedrooms are large and clean as are the bathrooms. Would stay again. |

| Large clean room with big bed, clean sheets and great views (given that it is in the centre of Phuket Town). Bathroom was large, smart and well maintained. Location is convenient if you want to be in the centre of town, it s not too difficult to drive out of town, and there is a free shutle service to Central Shopping Centre if that s your thing. Breakfast was a large buffet - lots of Thai and Western stuff. We paid 1,500THB a night for our stay and were very pleased with the standard. We have stayed in quite a few Thai hotels in this price bracket and this was as good as any. The only problem was that from our room at the back, despite being on the 17th floor (1704), you could hear live music from a bar outside until about midnight - more annoying than deafening. If you are going to Phuket for the beaches etc then Phuket Town is not the place for you. My recommendation would be to stay at the beach and visit PT by bus/taxi etc for a day which is easily done. |

| Not bad hotel. no atmosphere tho. 1 night is well enough here. we only stayed here as a stopping point as we where heading to phi Phi island the next day!!! |

| Hotel is well located in the center of town. Rooms are nice, clean. Bathroom is clean and large. Big problem is lack of hot water. Only luke warm regardless how long it runs. Have heard this is the norm for the hotel. Breakfast buffet somewhat limited get there early before the tour groups come and eat all the food. Gym is not much more that one treadmill, one bike, and a small universal machine. Do get the traditional thai massage, very reasonable for a hotel, 2hr for 500 baht. |

| Good clean quiet quality hotel. The staff are VERY helpful. We got screwed a bit from a tour company unrelated to the hotel and they called and sorted it out for us at no charge. Good breakfast buffet style. Plenty of choices. Great value for money on an overpriced island |

| The hotel was in an excellent location. The room and communal areas were fine and the hotel offered inexpensive and comprehensive buffets for lunch and dinner. We can t think of any negative points, and I would certainly stay there again if I were ever to go to Phuket again. From what we heard from fellow travelers, being in Phuket City was an advantage from those like us who do not lie on the beach or party. |

| We found the staff unhelpful and the room dirty. The floor needed vacuuming and the bath tub had mould around the rim. On arrival at the hotel having walked from the bus station with our suitcases on hot weather we received no help with our luggage unlike all the other hotels we stay at. We found that the unfriendly staff did not know basic travel and tourist information however we managed to get around by reading the books we brought along with us which were much more helpful. |
